Our advice process
Financial Advice
Our financial planning process is structured to make your experience with us straight forward, transparent and most importantly, enjoyable. One of our Financial Planners will work closely with you at each stage of the process so that they have a full understanding of your personal situation and lifestyle goals and can develop a plan suited to your needs. We follow a simple 7 step financial planning process to deliver clear and simple solutions to your financial situation. This follows the 7 steps recommended by the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) and are adopted by all AMP financial planners. These are:
Step 1
An initial consultation that allows us to find out about each other.Step 2
We will collect all the information we need from you (sometimes called 'fact finding').Step 3
We will help you identify your goals and current financial position. We normally do this at the same time as the 'fact find'.Step 4
We will consider the 7 building blocks or strategies (eg, tax, social security, estate planning etc), then develop and present you with written recommendations in a financial plan (called a Statement of Advice).Step 5
We will discuss the recommendations with you and make sure you are comfortable and agree with them.Setep 6
We will implement the agreed recommendations.Step 7
We will periodically help you review your objectives, financial situation and needs. Our Ongoing Service
Following the implementation of your Financial Plan, our support and guidance has only just begun. The key to the success of the advice we give you is the ongoing support. We extend an offer to meet with you personally on a regular basis to formally review your situation and the appropriateness of the strategies being adopted. Should any changes be necessary, we will provide you with advice on the range of choices available to you and identify the optimal strategy.
